The upcoming fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will not be available in its PC version in as many as 132 countries around the world.
Sony incurred the wrath of many PlayStation fans last week, and now they are managed to annoy the PC audience as well.
This is how the problem that had already broken spears appeared again. Upcoming PlayStation game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls it will not be available in 132 countries where Steam is otherwise available. This includes countries close to us: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia.
The reason why PC players in these countries will not be able to purchase Marvel’s Tokon Fighting Souls on Steam is because in these countries PlayStation Network is not supported which the game relies on for its multiplayer.
At the same time, it is worth mentioning that Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls will not be exclusively a multiplayer game, but will be able to be played independently in a campaign with a story (Episodes Mode). However, Sony did not make an exception for this reason, so players from 132 countries will not be able to access the single-player.
This block of sales in 132 countries is a continuation of Sony’s slightly incomprehensible policy towards multiplayer games on PC. On the one hand, their goal is for these games to attract as large an audience as possible, so in some cases, logging into the PlayStation Network is not mandatory in the PC versions (for example, in games such as Helldivers 2 or Marathon). But in other cases, Sony imposes restrictions on its own games by conditioning who can buy them according to the region in which they are located.
Almost as if they are digging a hole for themselves…
