Rolls-Royce will follow its first electric model, the Specter coupe, with fully electric successors to the current Cullinan SUV, Ghost sedan and Phantom sedan.
Speaking of a British magazine Autocar, CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said it was important that each model be replaced by an EV alternative as the company progresses towards a purely electric line by 2030.

The British firm will refresh its current range in the coming years, but will no longer launch models with SUS engines, making the Mk2 Ghost the last Rolls-Royce with a petrol engine.
Müller-Ötvös also pointed out the planned ban on the sale of new SUS cars announced by the UK Government for 2030: “We are not just driven by law: we are also driven by our relatively young clientele around the world, and we see more and more people electrified Rolls-Royce.
The age of the average Rolls-Royce customer has fallen sharply to just 43 in recent years, and Müller-Ötvös notes that “many of our customers already own an electric car, whether it’s a Tesla, BMW or some other model”, and so they have experience when it comes to handling EV chargers and range management.
He declined to disclose the technical details of future Rolls-Royce electric vehicles other than confirming that “the entire portfolio will be electrified”.
According to him, electrification of the entire portfolio is a “huge task for a relatively small company”, but the necessary investment will not automatically turn into more expensive cars. Müller-Ötvös points out that the Specter for 2023 will be valued according to its positioning and not according to its propulsion system.
The future electric Phantom will therefore not necessarily cost more than the starting price of the current car with a petrol V12 engine of 374,400 pounds, writes Autocar.
The priority for the Phantom EV will be to show the characteristics that compensate for the loss of the respected V12 engine, which will be shut down in 2030. The company’s electric drive will therefore be “very agile”, Müller-Ötvös promised, and will enable “mobility, quiet movement, magical driving, top quality and so on”.
