BYD announces its performance at this year’s Festival of Speed in Goodwood, which will take place from July 9 to 12, as a record-breaking, spectacular one with a series of premier events. After two extremely successful years at this event, this fast-growing company is now raising the bar to a whole new level. Together, BYD, Denza and Yangwang will present the largest showroom ever built in the Festival’s 33-year history, clearly underscoring BYD’s commitment and passion for the British motoring public.
The largest exhibitor booth ever
During the four-day event, BYD will present new models intended for the global and European markets. The Yangwang U9 Xtreme model will be on display. Along with it, a world premiere was announced as well as novelties that BYD and Denza are presenting for the first time at the national and European level. This event marks the brand’s entry into the UK market, where the Z9GT, BAO5 and D9 models will be unveiled.

All three brands will be housed in an impressive, contemporary multi-level structure in a prestigious location next to the main pedestrian bridge. The 2,016 m² space will clearly express the identity of each brand, and is designed to provide visitors with a fully interactive experience, regardless of weather conditions, is the message from the Chinese company.
Visitors can try out the new BYD SHARK 6 pick-up truck and the DENZA BAO5 SUV model at the off-road driving range, and a shop with brand products is also available.

The central part of the exhibition area is the technology zone where the company’s solutions are located: from the V2G system and DM-i technology to the FLASH charger that charges the Blade 2.0 battery from 10% to 70% in five minutes. Content designed with the help of artificial intelligence, driving simulators and robot dogs are also available.
Stella LiExecutive Vice President, BYD, said: “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most exciting events in the motoring calendar. We wanted to present our BYD, Denza and Yangwang brands in a way befitting such a prestigious event. Our impressive showroom combines our brand identity with the rich motoring history that Goodwood nurtures. It is the perfect stage for the world premiere of a new model, but also to demonstrate the diversity of the portfolio, the appeal and BYD Group’s technological supremacy.”
The Duke of Richmondholder of the Order of the British Empire and deputy royal regent, founder of the Festival of Speed, added: “We are extremely pleased with the return of BYD to the Festival of Speed. The strong presence of this brand is fully in line with our vision of the event. The Festival of Speed has always been a place where the audience has the opportunity to get to know the latest cars and technological innovations, so we are especially pleased that BYD, DENZA and YANGWANG will present a series of novelties for the world and European markets right in Goodwood. The Festival of Speed in West Sussex every year gathers hundreds of thousands of motoring enthusiasts, and its strong international reach makes it an ideal platform for the presentation of new models and the global promotion of the BYD Group.”
