Norwegian studio Carbonara Games has presented its next game called Crop. This is a farming simulation that is actually a mysterious story with elements of horror.
People love farming simulators and people love horror… So why not have a game that is a farming simulation with horror elements?
The Norwegian studio Carbonara Games is guided by this idea, which in cooperation with the Poles from 11bit Studios has just announced a game called Crop. This is a game in which we will do typical farming things: weed our garden, plant crops, grow fruits and then sell them at the farmer’s market. However, in Crop the plot is a little different.
Here the player mysteriously finds himself in a village starving. The village is cut off from the rest of the world, so the player, in cooperation with other residents, tries to live long enough to find out what is happening and how to save himself. Although the game will not have any monsters that will haunt us, it will rely on psychological horror and surreal motifs inspired by the works of Lynch and Lovecraft.
Crop will be a single-player adventure with gameplay divided by days. Players will have the task of feeding the village by growing food on their farm, but in parallel they will conduct an investigation outside the farm.
The game is now in development for PCno release date.
