Shooter Road to Vostok, once announced as a cross between Stalker and Tarkov, got a release date in early access.
If STALKER 2 did not meet your expectations, you can find a dose of survival in the harsh post-apocalypse in a similar game Road to Vostok. After numerous tests through demo versions, it has now been announced that early access testing in the PC version of the game is starting 7. 4. this year.
Road to Vostok has been in development for four years and you may find it strange that it is only now entering early access, and it is estimated that it will be in that phase for another 2-4 years. However, it should be noted that this is a project of an independent developer, which would not be the case from the appearance and ambitions of the game itself. It’s about a hybrid of shooter and survival game in an open world, with realistic weapon behavior, dynamic events in the world, etc.
The game takes place in the border zone between Russia and Finland, called Area 05, where several factions are fighting for power and dominance. Beyond that border zone is Vostok, the place where the game becomes permadeath experience. In this way, Vostok is similar to Tarkov, where you permanently lose everything in your possession, but this game will be exclusively single-player type.
The starting price for Road to Vostok will be 20 euros, with the fact that the first two weeks will be sold with a 25% discount, i.e. for 15 euros. If you want to try it now, a demo is available that has been played by more than 700,000 players.
