Have you ever shed a tear over a game?

There is no lack of emotional moments in games and it is not rare to see characters crying or on the verge of tears. How do you deal with such scenes – has any game brought a tear to your eye?

We are aware of the demographic picture of the HCL portal – 95% of the audience is male. And with such statistics, it is ungrateful to ask the question about crying at games. Because men don’t whine, let alone talk about some kind of emotions.

However, some of the best moments in the best games are extremely touching moments – where the characters themselves cry or are on the verge of tears. In Red Dead 2, when Arthur Morgan says he’s afraid… bro – it gets you in the throat! Solid Snake says he doesn’t have any tears to wipe, and still tears up when Meryl dies (never mind that it’s not the canon ending!).

With that in mind, we pose this question to 95% of our male and 5% female audience: Have you ever shed a tear while playing? If so – which game was it and what caused that reaction in you? If not – were you at least close to it, but it just bothered you in the eye at the time?

Games often make me sad and depressed, but I don’t really remember many tears. However, one moment broke me. I didn’t tear up on The Last of Us, Death Stranding or God of War. Ghost of Tsushima beat me. More precisely – the death of a horse. They let me name him! Helped me save myself! So that it ends like that… That same year, Sony already killed one (virtual) horse and that shocked me, but my Nobu, not my Nobu – shame on them!

That’s it from my tears – now I expect yours in the comments.
