Omoda and Jaecoo presented the innovative SHS hybrid technology

As part of this week’s meeting with the media, the automobile brands Omoda and Jaecoo presented their latest technological achievements, sales results and ambitious plans for expansion on the Croatian market. The focus of the event was on the innovative SHS (Super Hybrid System) technology, with which the company seeks to redefine modern mobility. With the celebration of the Chinese New Year in the sign of the fiery horse, the strong momentum of the brand, which is positioned as the leader of the new hybrid era, was highlighted.

Sales on the Croatian market began in September 2025, and in just six months a significant result of a total of 755 sold copies of the Omoda and Jaecoo brand models was achieved. The brand’s strategy is based on the offer of hybrid vehicles at the price of gasoline vehicles, thus they strive to make advanced technology available to a wide range of customers. Despite the focus on electrification, the company still leaves the option of ordering classic gasoline cars for users who are not yet ready for the transition.

Innovative drive systems

The technological backbone of growth is the Super Hybrid System (SHS), a system that combines high performance, long range and energy efficiency, which is above the industry average. Power is sent to the wheels via an advanced DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) gearbox, eliminating the trade-offs between power and low fuel consumption.

Omoda and Jaecoo hybrids are characterized by advanced SHS (Super Hybrid System) technology. If we are talking about hybrids, then they have the letter H (SHS-H) in the continuation, and if we are talking about the plug-in version, then at the end is the letter P (SHS-P).

On the other hand, plug-in hybrid solutions such as the J7 SHS-P model allow driving exclusively on electric power with a total combined range of up to 1,200 kilometers, which effectively solves the problem of worrying about the range of the user.

The conference announced the imminent arrival of the new Jaecoo 5 model on the Croatian market, which will be available in hybrid and fully electric (EV) versions.
