Rainbow Six Siege is preparing for a new chapter in 2026. The season that will arrive in a few weeks brings with it a mountain of novelties, which were presented at the recently concluded Salt Lake City Major. So let’s start in order, with a clear emphasis on the new map and the reworking of one operative.
Dokkaebi is an operative that receives processing. Her Jegeo Payload brings a slightly different activation of mobile devices than is the case in the current version of the game. Instead of the ringing present in all operatives, Dokkaebi now targets individual operatives and calls them on their cell phone. The novelty is that cell phones can explode now if they aren’t shut down in time, but it’s a good thing for defenders that the shut down animation runs faster than before. After the cell phone explodes, it does damage to that operative and a fire and more operatives are created at the place of the explosion cannot access cameras or any other devices that require the use of a cell phone (Skopos’ switch to robots and Fenrir’s ability to interact with his mines).
But that’s not all, because changes have also occurred in the hacking of mobile phones of fallen fighters. Currently, mobile phones can only be hacked when Dokkaebi comes near them, but according to the new one, they will be able to hack from any distance. Even walls and doors won’t bother her when hacking. Access to more cameras it will not be permanentalready temporary, which aims to tactically deepen this segment of gameplay. In addition, Dokkaebi also gets a new assault rifle called XK23which is awarded to both Raorora and Sensu.
A new map is also coming to the game Calypso Casino. Rainbow Six Vegas fans will find this map sound and feel familiar because that’s where it came from. It will have three floors, and Ubisoft announces that they do not see this as a reworking of the Vegas map, but a look at a version of the map made for the modern Siege environment, designed for quick exchange of fire and fun that they hope will provide in the highest competitive gaming tier.
Of the other changes, it should be mentioned that Gridlock’s traps will be harder to destroyZofia returns to faster running and comes Ranked 3.0 which returns placement matches and promises to the final result to be the fruit of your skills. All these changes are available on the test servers, while the full release of the game is expected in a few weeks, probably in the first week of the sixth month, although we don’t have an official release date yet.
