Blizzard has announced that Season 14 brings the long-awaited solo mode to Diablo 4 – you play alone, you collect gear alone, but you suffer and suffer alone.

All those players who experience how to make their way through Diablo’s hordes of hell without anyone’s help will finally come into their own in season 14. Blizzard announced Solo-Self-Found (SSF) modsomething players have been asking for for a long time, and has been popular in the genre since Path of Exile.
It’s essentially a mode where you play alone and only use gear you make or find yourself. No trading with other players, no group going through content, no shortcuts. At the end of the season, SSF characters automatically become regular characters, but while the season lasts – you’re left to your own devices.
Despite the potentially more difficult experience, it’s important to note that SSF mode does not provide better drops or any bonuses. The only exclusives are separate SSF rankings, and of course, the right to brag to others. In addition to the above, season 14 also brings the return of Riftwalkers, a new Lair Boss, and significant changes to the mythic item system, which will no longer automatically be the absolute best equipment in the game.
For those who want to try everything before others, the public testing of season 14 is ongoing from June 2 to 9, and the new season officially begins June 30.
