Tucked away among the magical redwood trees of Northern California and surrounded by her grandmother’s huge roses, 17-year-old Lennie Walker, a dazzling musical marvel, struggles with great grief after the sudden loss of her older sister Bailey. When Joe Fontaine, a charismatic new boy at school, enters Lennie’s life, he is attracted to her. But Lennie’s complicated relationship with her sister’s devastated boyfriend, Toby, begins to affect Lennie and Joe’s future love. Through her lush imagination and sincere, conflicted heart, Lennie leads her first love and first loss to create her own song.
