Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake is the next Resident project, here’s what fresh rumors say

According to an otherwise reliable source, Capcom is preparing a remake of the old game Resident Evil Code Veronica.

We recently got Resident Evil Requiem and an expansion for that game has already been announced. But fans are still wondering – what’s next for Capcom’s horror series?

Capcom has already given us a small hint – there will be more remakes of old games. And there we have four candidates, among whom the rumors mostly refer to Resident Evil Code Veronicu from 2000

According to the otherwise reliable Resident Evil leaker nicknamed Dusk Golem, Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake will be directed by Kazunori Kadoi i Yasushiro Anpo. It is the duo that led the development of RE2 and RE4 adaptations.

The same source states that he heard that the game will be expanded and that it will be remake with the most changes in the events themselvesbut that none of the original content will be left out. It is said that Albert Wesker will have a more significant presence in the game, and Chris will have a final boss battle that he did not have in the original. It was also mentioned that we will see more of a change between Chris and Claire as playable characters, similar to what we had in the recent Requiem.

Resident Evil Code Veronica was a different part of its series in its time. It was of classic design, but with a 3D environment and allowed first-person aiming with some weapons. It was also the first Resident Evil that did not take place in the USA but on the isolated island of Rockfort, and later on Antarctica.
