The saga around Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving got a new episode.
The American NBA basketball player was suspended from the team before the match against the Milwaukee Bucks due to his refusal to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Also, until he is vaccinated, he will not even be able to train with his teammates.
Brooklyn Nets statement about Kyrie Irving
“Given the evolving nature of the situation and after careful consideration, we have decided that Kyrie Irving will not play or train on the team until she is eligible to be a full participant”. “Kyrie has made a personal choice, and we respect her individual right to choose. The choice currently restricts her ability to be a full-time team member, and we will not allow any member of our team to participate in gaining part-time availability” the Nets said in a statement.
Irving is against vaccination and because of that, he would certainly not be able to play for the Brooklyn Nets on the home floor, according to the rules of New York.
The Nets franchise decided Kyrie Irving will not play on the road also until he got vaccinated.
“I am protected by God and so are my people,” he Tweeted Saturday. “We stand together.”
We’ll have to wait for Irving’s response about this decision. I can’t wait to see his reaction.
There was a rumor that Kyrie Irving is gonna be traded for Ben Simmons.
