Nintendo has postponed Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp which was due out on April 8 this year for the switch console.
A new date has not been announced, and Nintendo tweeted that the reason for the delay is the current situation in Ukraine: “In light of recent world events, we have decided to postpone Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally supposed to be published on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Follow us to find out the new release date ”.
The reason is not, as it seems at first glance, that the game is a war game and is therefore postponed, but the whole premise is quite similar to current events. Namely, in the game, the Blue Moon faction is attacking neighboring territory, and since the similarity between Blue Moon and Russia / USSR is quite strong, Nintendo considered it important to temporarily postpone the game.
In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.
