Is there going to be a second season of The Lord of the Rings
The most expensive tv show so far that cost reportedly unbelievably $450,000,000, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power an Amazon series recently wrapped filming season 1 in New Zealand. But Season 2 filming is set to relocate to the UK. That said answered the question Yes! there is going to be a second season.
Another accountable confirmation is the imdb website if look for this series you can see there is a placeholder for the season 2, but there is no premiere date set yet.
Amazon explained that the move “aligns with the studio’s strategy of expanding its production footprint and investing in studio space across the UK, with many of Amazon Studios’ tentpole series and films already calling the UK home”.
It has been confirmed that the next set of episodes will begin pre-production in early 2022. Post-production on season 1 will continue in New Zealand until June 2022, and pre-production on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 starting at the same time in the UK.

It is too early to speculate when it is going to premiere season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, if we have to guess sometime in the Summer of 2023.
