The new Steam Controller goes on sale today. It is specially made for the PC audience and more customizable than any other controller on the market. However, it’s not exactly cheap so we have to ask: are you planning to get one?
It’s not very often that we have a gamepad made specifically for the needs of PC gamers. It’s usually the domain of consoles and controllers are made according to the limitations of those platforms. However, as of today, a controller is available that offers more buttons than even the most expensive console controllers. A controller for those who like to have full control over all possible settings.
The Steam Controller goes on sale, which is a kind of prelude to Valve’s new attempt to conquer the living room. It costs €99 and at that price it is placed above the standard controllers for consoles (which can also be used on PC). On the other hand, it’s almost half the price of the DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite controllers.
While the price is somewhat comparable, the device itself is quite different from other controllers, primarily thanks to its trackpad surfaces, magnetic charger and sensors on the handles. And we won’t lie – its shape is also different from almost everything else on the market.
Considering the price and all these differences, as well as the fact that it is sold exclusively through Steam, the question arises whether the Steam Controller attracted any of the domestic gamers. Therefore, in the survey, and in the comments, feel free to tell us if you have any plans to get a Steam Controller or if the existence of the same does not affect you at all?
