The Porsche Cayenne was cut in half in the accident, the driver was only slightly injured

In the American state of Georgia, an unusual traffic accident occurred in which a luxury SUV, the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, was literally cut in half after hitting a tree. According to information from the local police from Dunwoody, the accident occurred due to inadequate speed, which resulted in a violent impact that tore the vehicle in two.

Part of the cabin intact

The front of the vehicle with the driver’s seat ended up several meters away from the rear, remaining connected only by a wire – as can be seen in police photos. The front passenger’s seat was also ripped from its seats and thrown onto the roadway. Although the debris was scattered on the road, witnesses and officials were surprised by the fact that the area around the driver’s seat remained almost intact.

Analysis of the remains suggests that it is a more expensive variant of the Cayenne model, probably the S version, equipped with a sports exhaust system and carbon-ceramic brakes, priced at over $130,000. Experts point out that this incident is a shining example of the effectiveness of modern security engineering. Although the Porsche was completely destroyed, the safety cell around the driver did its job, absorbing the energy of the impact and protecting the vital cabin space.
