The Peaky Blinders series will still be finished after the sixth season, despite some earlier announcements.
The creator of the Peaky Blinders series, Stephen Knight, explained that “the story will continue, but in a different form”.
As Knight said, the main “culprit” for that is the pandemic, in which a lot has changed, so the production concluded that six seasons is enough.
In the sixth season of the series, which follows Tommy Shelby and his family, Anthony Byrne will return as a director, and Nick Goding will produce. Tommy Bulfin, the executive producer for the BBC, said he was “very excited” that filming had begun and promised a truly extraordinary season and… a farewell that will delight fans”. He added that he was “very grateful to everyone for their hard work to make it happen.”
It is not yet known what “different form” it could be when it comes to the sequel, so there is a suspicion of either a spinoff or a feature to make Peaky Blinders movie.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date
Peaky Blinders season 5 aired on October 4, 2019, on Netflix two years later we have some info about Peaky Blinders Season 6 release date. Peaky Blinders season 6 is set to be released on February 27, 2022 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and June 10, 2022 on Netflix in the United States. The first episodes is titled Black Day. Season 6 has six episodes in total (Updated March 17, 2022)
Unfortunately, it will be the last season for the series. Looks like there is no Peaky Blinders season 7, for now.
(Updated December 3rd) A short teaser was published on the official account of the “Peaky Blinders” series on Twitter, as a reminder that the last, sixth, season will soon be , season 6 has premiered.
The video teaser reveals only the beginning of the release for 2022, although fans expected to see more, considering that there are still no details and shooting of the new season.
“Look who’s back,” he wrote briefly on Twitter, referring to the return of the main man Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy), when we haven’t seen him on TV since 2019. In addition, the video shows the return of Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons last season.
The production of the 6th season was postponed due to restrictions due to the Covid 19 pandemic, last year.
Also, there is no indication in the video teaser of what will happen to the character of the late Helen McCrory, a favorite of Polly Gray’s fans. Helen McCrory, who also played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, died in early 2021 after battling cancer.
Stephen Knight revealed that the next season will include an honor to the actress, but he did not mention whether she managed to shoot a scene before her death, or the fate of her character.

County Lines star Conrad Khan has joined the cast of the sixth season of Peaky Blinders, the BBC has confirmed. The crime drama’s Twitter account announced the news of Khan’s casting, writing: “We are thrilled to welcome the @BAFTA #EERisingStar nominee Conrad Khan to the sixth season of the #PeakyBlinders series.”
The 21-year-old actor has previously been nominated for an EE Rising Star BAFTA Award, such as Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami), Morfydd Clark (Saint Maud), Buki Bakray (Rocks), and Sope Dirisu (His House). In addition to the 2019 crime drama County Lines, Khan also appeared in The Huntsman: Winter’s War and the series Black Mirror and Baptiste.
