Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate 80 Pro for the global market, marking the reappearance of the company’s premium models outside of China after a three-year hiatus. The main visual asset of the new phone is the dual space ring design on the back, which follows the completely new construction of the case.
The phone uses a combination of new glass and durable nylon fibers, which according to the company brings up to five times more resistance to drops compared to the Mate 70 Pro model. In addition, the device has IP68 and IP69 certificates for resistance to water and high temperatures.

On the front, there is a 6.75-inch OLED screen with LTPO adaptive refresh ranging from 1 to 120Hz, with high-frequency PWM dimming. Flat corners of the screen and thin frames contribute to a cleaner look and a better visual experience.
The camera system is located in the first rear ring and consists of four sensors. The main camera has 50 MP with variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0, optical stabilization and RYBB sensor for better light reception. There is also a 40 MP ultra-wide camera, a 48 MP macro telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, as well as a second-generation sensor for accurate color reading. Global models also use the XMAGE system for advanced photo processing.
The front camera is 13 MP and ultra-wide angle, with a 3D depth sensor for secure unlocking using face contour detection technology.
The Mate 80 Pro has a battery with a capacity of up to 5,750 mAh and supports 100 W fast charging, and the charger is delivered in the factory packaging. Huawei has confirmed that the phone is available in certain world markets from today, reports HC Newsroom.
