Audi refreshed the Q4 e-tron, it will be on our market as of next month

Audi, almost simultaneously with the announcement of the shutdown of the production of entry models on fossil fuels, announced a significant upgrade of its best-selling electric model, the Q4 e-tron, which in the new edition becomes even more functional and technologically advanced. With a refreshed exterior design, characterized by sharpened lines and new light signatures, the model brings improvements in the key segments of electric mobility – range, charging power and digital experience.

Greater power and reach

One of the most significant innovations is the introduction of two-way charging, making the Q4 e-tron the first Audi model with this function. Thanks to the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system, users can power external devices such as e-bikes directly from the vehicle. Additionally, in selected markets such as Germany and Austria, the Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) function allows the vehicle to serve as a home energy storage system, thereby optimizing the consumption of electricity derived from photovoltaic systems.

Improvements in the drive system are the main asset of the refreshed models. The Q4 Sportback e-tron performance model now offers a range of up to 592 kilometers thanks to a more efficient electric motor, while the quattro model’s maximum DC charging power has been increased to 185 kW. This enables the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent capacity in just 27 minutes. Practicality is further increased in the all-wheel drive model, whose trailer towing capacity has increased to 1,800 kilograms.

The new Q4 e-tron comes with two battery options, with a capacity of 63 kWh and 82 kWh gross. The possibility of pre-conditioning the battery was also introduced in order to achieve optimal charging performance, even in conditions when the navigation route is not activated. The trunk with a basic volume of 515 liters can be expanded to 1,487 liters by folding the seats, and there is also a standard electric trunk lid.

Digitization of the cabin

The interior underwent a complete transformation through the “digital stage” concept. The central part is dominated by a panoramic screen with an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen. The optional 12″ screen for the front passenger is also a novelty. The infotainment system now includes Audi assistant and ChatGPT integration, which allows passengers to interact with the vehicle using natural speech and control functions with voice commands.

Aesthetic and safety progress is also visible in the lighting systems. The front digital LED daytime running lights enable the selection of different light signatures via the MMI system, while the second generation digital OLED rear lights raise the level of safety and recognition on the road. With a new center console and a cooled surface for wireless charging of mobile devices, Audi says the new Q4 e-tron provides a comfortable cabin environment adapted to the demands of the digital age.

Prices and availability

The new models will be available to order in Europe during May, while the first deliveries are expected during the summer. On the German market, the starting price for the Audi Q4 SUV e-tron with a smaller 63 kWh battery is 47,500 euros, while the Sportback variant with the same battery starts at 49,450 euros. For models with a larger 82 kWh battery, starting prices are 53,500 euros for the SUV version, or 55,450 euros for the Sportback version. According to announcements, the arrival of improved models on the Croatian market is also expected during May, when local prices will be defined.
