If the images circulating on the Internet are to be believed, the first change to the user interface of the PlayStation 5 console is being tested, with one significant innovation.
It seems that the PlayStation 5 console may soon receive a small but significant change in the main interface.
An alleged photo of a user who allegedly got the opportunity to test the new interface is circulating on the Internet, and the image clearly shows one new feature. Instead of the previous division of the interface into games and multimedia, now With the L1 and R1 keys, users can switch between the most important sections: PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Store, installed games, game catalog and multimedia.
In the current interface, to browse the PS Plus Offer or the complete catalog of games that we own, it is necessary to go all the way to the left or all the way to the right within the menu, which can have a dozen items. In this way it would interface navigation was accelerated.
However, the changes in the interface have not yet been officially announced by Sony, and the authenticity of this image is difficult to confirm because the PS5 interface can be emulated on PC with various applications, eg Playnite.
As for the PS5 interface itself, it practically it hasn’t changed in the last five and a half years. Many users even consider it inferior to the interface for the PlayStation 4 console, which had support for different themes, organizing games into folders, and similar things that the PS5 console does not yet have (and most likely never will).
