Company Honor at the last MWC fair in Barcelona, it presented two of its new phones, Honor Magic V and Honor Magic 4 Pro, and aroused great interest among the audience, especially the part that lacks Huawei mobile devices, because we are used to the two names going hand in hand. although this is no longer the case.

However, apart from the phones themselves, the journalists noticed that these devices had a different user environment, ie. the latest Magic UI 6.0 is based on the Android 12 operating system, while all other Honor phones still have Magic UI 5.0. One of the questions was whether and when the new user environment will come to some of the other models of this increasingly popular manufacturer.

The answer came from Honor, which presented a plan to refresh some of the selected models with the Android 12 operating system, as well as the Magic UI 6.0 user interface. At that time, this plan was presented only for the Chinese market, and there was no information on when Honor would do the same for the global market.

Now, according to GSM Arena, we have received information on what exactly Honor plans to do with its models around the world. The Honor 50 should receive an upgrade to Android 12 and Magic UI 6.0 in the second quarter of this year, between April and June, while the Honor 50 Lite should receive the same upgrade in the third quarter of this year, between July and September.

There is still no word on a potential upgrade for the Honor 50 Pro and 50 SE, but they are not yet available globally, so the situation may change. In the end, there was no mention of the 60 series models either, but Honor is expected to deliver the new UI and operating system to these devices as well.

And what is it that the new Magic UI brings? The biggest improvements include multitasking and privacy settings, as well as support for Honor Share, a feature that allows users to use the same display, keyboard, and mouse on both phone and laptop, something similar to what Apple did with its Universal Control functionality. We just have to wait.
