MG builds the first factory in Europe

MG announced the construction of its first production plant in Europe, specifically in Galicia, Spain. This investment worth around 200 million dollars should create more than 2,000 jobs and have an annual production capacity of up to 120,000 vehicles. The start of car production in the new factory is planned for 2028.

“The plant will bring together vehicle research and development, advanced manufacturing, key component supply and intelligent logistics operations, creating a fully connected industrial ecosystem. This platform will significantly expand local production and procurement and strengthen the resilience, adaptability and efficiency of MG’s European supply chain,” the company said.

In addition, MG plans to expand cooperation with European technology partners, research institutions and suppliers, with a focus on the development of battery technologies, intelligent mobility systems and clean energy solutions.
