Resident Evil will reportedly get more and more experimental stories

A well-known insider says that Capcom is preparing a strategy of experimental Resident Evil stories in the form of expansions for existing games.

Resident Evil games could have more expansions in the future that will serve as experimental witnesses for that franchise.

At least that’s what a well-known insider nicknamed Dusk Golem heard, who says that we will see the promised expansion of the story for this year’s Resident Evil Requiem after Resident Evil Veronica comes out.

Apparently, the strategy of larger expansions for the existing Resident Evil games is commercially more attractive for the team from Capcom than the independent spin-off titles that the series has had so far (Revelations, Chronicles, etc.). The expansions would also serve to fill the gap between the separate Resident Evil games.

The Resident Evil series is otherwise known for subsequent expansions of the story. Resident Evil 4 and 5 had their own expansions in the form of Separate Ways and Lost in Nightmares. The seventh and eighth parts also received an expansion of the story.
