Rockstar is reportedly preparing as many as eight new remasters

Take-Two Interactive plans to release as many as eight remasters by 2025. The company revealed this fact as part of its recent financial statements, although no specific information has been provided about the games. Of course, this news will lead to speculation, especially among Rockstar Games fans. The studio has a lot of great titles that could get a remaster treatment, which would definitely shorten the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6. Unfortunately, not much is known yet, so even when the first of these remasters could be available, but hopefully Take-Two will have more information to give in the coming months!

In Take Two Interactive’s financial statements, ports and remasters are referred to as “new iterations of previously published titles.” Last year, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released, featuring remasters of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Although there was a lot of excitement around the collection, it was released in a state that many were dissatisfied with, but the hope remains that these other planned remasters will be released with much more care and in better condition. But, for now, those are just hopes, and quite vague because we don’t know which games it is.

Which of these games could a remaster get? Grand Theft Auto 4 is definitely one of the candidates. Games like the original Red Dead Redemption would make a lot of sense, and even Bully could be a possibility. Remasters are a great opportunity for new, younger players to play titles they may have missed for the first time, and they are certainly less financially demanding projects than remakes or new sequels.

Summer is just around the corner, and although E3 has been canceled this year, many kindergartens are likely to continue to host digital events where they could see something more concrete about these projects. Until then, it remains only for all fans of these games to wait.
