The American workshop Effortless Motors delivered to the famous former basketball player Shaquilleu O’Nealu (or let’s say O’Neilović) a unique vessel – the world’s first speedboat built according to the design of the legendary Chevrolet Impala car from 1964. The vessel is shaped like a replica of the golden Impala from the movie Boyz n the Hood, and is custom-made to comfortably fit its corpulent new owner. Along with the unique speedboat, O’Neal was also supplied with a matching road car of that model and a customized transport trailer.
The first floating Impala
Despite the heavy rain and thunderstorm, the team decided to immediately lower the speedboat from the trailer onto the lake and make the first test run. Equipped with a size 4XL life jacket, O’Neal took the wheel and personally piloted the speedboat through the waves. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions on the water, the testing took place without difficulty, so immediately after the handover, the stability and functionality of the vessel was confirmed.
After the ride and back to the dock, Shaq expressed great satisfaction with the construction and presented gifts to the members of the construction team as a sign of gratitude. On that occasion, he emphasized the importance of building quality business relationships and mutual support, stressing that he appreciates the effort invested in the realization of this unusual project.

Legendary Chevy
The Chevrolet Impala is one of the cars that occupies an iconic place in American automotive history. Originally introduced in the late 1950s as a premium sedan, the Impala quickly became one of the best-selling models in the United States. The 1964 model is recognizable by its long, striking silhouette, characteristic triple rear lights on each side and distinctive front grille.
Besides being an extremely popular family car of its time, the 1964 model became an absolute icon of popular culture and the so-called lowrider scenes. Because of its solid chassis, it is this generation of Impala that has become a favorite platform for customization, installation of hydraulics and unique paintwork – and now it also has the first version for sailing.
