The new set from the Lego Icons series, intended for adult lovers of bricks, deals with an icon from the world of cars – it is a replica of the legendary Ford Model T car. The Lego set faithfully recreates the aesthetics of the vehicle from the 1910s, recognizable by its black body with gold details and high wire rims with thin white tires. The kit consists of a total of 1,060 parts and is aimed at the collector and automotive history buff population.
Advanced mechanics
Designers paid special attention to functional elements that simulate the actual mechanisms of the original vehicle. The model thus brings the famous folding canvas roof, folding windshield and passenger doors that open only on one side. The interior offers a driver’s cabin with faithful details and a functional steering wheel, while lifting the seat gives access to a simulated fuel tank.
Under the hood, which can be lifted from both sides, there is also a detailed replica of the powertrain. The specificity of the model is the “crank” whose rotation activates the engine fan, which further emphasizes the interactivity of this new set. The rear trunk is also functional and can be opened, which makes this model equally attractive for display in a home or office environment.
The final dimensions of the assembled model are about 20 cm high, 29 cm long and 13 cm wide. In addition to physical instructions, users also have access to the LEGO Builder application, which enables 3D rotation, zooming and digital monitoring of progress during construction. This set is positioned as a premium product within a wider range of Lego projects designed primarily for adults, and as such it will have a relatively high price of around 130 euros. It will go on sale in the middle of the month.
