After the very successful animated movies “Paradise and the Last Dragon”, “Soul”, “Onward” and “Luca”, new magic arrives from the Disney and Pixar studios – the animated comic fantasy “Red Panda”.
Turning Red plot
Growing up, sympathizing with the boy band and hiding grades from mom, everyone knows that, but what is certainly not – how to keep your excitement under control so that it does not turn into a huge, puffy, red panda?
May Lee is a self-confident thirteen-year-old who is torn between being an obedient daughter and her not at all pleasant adolescence, which brings with it maladaptation.
As if changes in her interests, relationships, and body are not enough, but whenever she gets too excited, which is practical for a teenager – ALWAYS, she turns into a huge red panda!
The director and screenwriter of the film “Red Panda” Domee Shi is the winner of the Oscar for 2019 for the best short animated film “Bao”, in which she weaved her own experience, as the daughter of Chinese immigrants.
She put herself in the position of her mother to show her emotional journey, as she dedicated her life to raising a child who at some point decided to leave the house and go into life on her own.
