The Japanese car manufacturer announced on Thursday plans to expand its offer of SUV models from 2022.
Two new models, the 2023 Mazda CX-60 and the 2023 Mazda CX-80 will be introduced to the European market in the next two years, the Japanese company said.
To meet the growing needs of the segment, Mazda will offer European customers a wider selection of SUV models.
At the same time, new models from the group of large SUVs, Mazda CX-70 and Mazda CX-90, as well as CX-50 2023 from the group of smaller crossovers will be presented in the United States and in some other non-European markets.
Mazda expects the new European models, the CX-60 and CX-80, to create positive business growth in the medium and long term.

The Mazda CX-60 2023 and CX-80 2023 will be available in two- and three-row versions, and will lead the Japanese manufacturer’s new models with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that makes up the in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motor.
In addition, a new generation of in-line 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the Skyactiv-X and Skyactiv-D, will also be introduced in combination with the 48-volt lightweight hybrid system.
Mazda announced that during the first half of 2022, a new version of Mazda’s electric car MX-30 2023 with an extended radius of movement will be presented, which will use a rotary motor as a power generator.
From 2025, the companies will present a range of new vehicles on a new platform designed for electric propulsion. With the introduction of these models, Mazda is on track to complete the electrification of its complete range by 2030, the company claims.
Along with these new models, the recently refreshed Mazda CX-5 remains one of the key models driving Mazda’s business globally.
