This is the announcement of a slightly different test. Why different? Because we are preparing it by visiting Croatia in order to test all the essentials of the new Chinese model on our market. It is known that the sale of new Chinese brands in Croatia – Jaecoo and Omoda – was announced a few months ago. Jaecoo started with model 7 in gasoline and plug-in edition, while Omoda started with model 5 which, in addition to the 1.6-liter gasoline edition, can also be selected in a fully electric version. It is an almost 4.5 meter long SUV model, which, depending on the level of equipment, costs from 24 to 27 thousand euros, or 32 to 35 thousand euros if we are talking about the EV model.
These days, an even bigger, almost 4.8-meter-long Omod 9 model is coming on sale, and we are currently testing it on domestic roads. Our goal is to visit all the cities where they have sales and service centers, and to do so with only one full tank of fuel and individual battery charging. Batteries? Yes, because it is a plug-in edition equipped with a battery of as much as 34 kWh. The full name of the model is – Omoda 9 SHS Ultra 1.5T-GDI DHT 4WD.
