Starfield confirmed for PlayStation 5, arriving at almost half price

The rumors were, as expected, true – Starfield is coming to PlayStation 5 next month, along with a new Free Lanes update and other DLC.

Bethesda finally confirmed today that theirs Starfield arrives on 4/7 on PlayStation 5 consoles. As rumors have already revealed, the standard edition will cost money 49,99€while the Premium Edition for €69.99 will bring two expansions in addition to the main game.

Starfield will have special support for the DualSense controller features on the PlayStation 5 consoles, while it will have improved performance on the PS5 Pro console.

The game will launch with a new update called Free Lanes. The update should fix one of the biggest complaints about Starfield by allowing continuous travel from planet to planet without initiating a journey through the menus.

In addition, Free Lanes will bring new locations, a new vehicle, modifiers for opponents, additional upgrades for vehicles and weapons, etc. All of these updates will be free to existing owners of the PC and Xbox versions of the game and integrated into the PS5 version.

As for paid content, the Terran Armada paid DLC is also coming on 4/7. This expansion will follow a new story about a conflict with a robot army.
