It has been confirmed that Sony Interactive Entertainment will not be participating in Gamescom exhibition itself for the seventh year in a row.
We already know that Sony loves physical things, so it’s no surprise that they decided to do it again to skip participation in this year’s Gamescom fair in Germany.
This is the seventh year in a row that PlayStation has been absent from the world’s largest video game show. Unlike Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have already confirmed their presence at Gamescom 2026.
Sony’s absence means that their existing and upcoming games such as Marvel’s Wolverine and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will not be able to be played at Gamescom. However, this doesn’t mean that PlayStation won’t potentially have announcements as part of the Gamescom Opening Night Live program.
Blizzard Entertainment, THQ Nordic, Wargaming and others will not be present at Gamescom this year.
