Kia XCeed is getting a major redesign

Kia has officially unveiled the redesigned XCeed, one of its best sellers crossover which, thanks to the new look, completely takes over the company’s current design signature and leaves the impression of a completely new generation of cars.

As can be seen from the official renders, the biggest changes are visible precisely in the exterior of the car. The front and rear now clearly follow Kia’s current design with a pronounced light signature and sharper lines, as we had the opportunity to see with the Sportage and the new Stonic.

As for the interior, the new XCeed gets two connected 12.3-inch screens – one for digital instruments, the other for infotainment rustling. There is also a new steering wheel, a redesigned central console and better materials. Among the novelties, the Digital Key 2.0 system stands out, which enables the vehicle to be unlocked and started using a mobile phone.

Although visual changes are in the foreground, Kia states that driving comfort has also been improved, but the details have not yet been released. The range of engines has not yet been officially confirmed, but a continuation of the familiar strategy with gasoline engines and mild hybrid technology is expected.

Production will continue in Slovakia’s Žilina, where the Kia Sportage is already produced, along with the brand’s new electric models. The first examples should come off the production line at the end of May, and soon after that they are expected to arrive on the European markets.

Kia also did not say anything about the price of the XCeed, but it will probably be more expensive than the current model, which in Croatia starts at 21,999 euros.
