Xiaomi 17 Max arrives with the largest battery in the company’s history at 8000 mAh

Xiaomi has officially announced the release of the new Xiaomi 17 Max flagship phone that will be launched later this month. The first official “teaser” reveals that Xiaomi is seriously targeting the premium segment of large phones, with a focus on battery autonomy, screen and camera.

The Xiaomi 17 Max uses a large 6.9-inch flat screen with thin bezels and a design reminiscent of the previous Xiaomi 15 series. The phone arrives in black, blue, and white, while certain versions reportedly come with a ceramic finish or a carbon-inspired material.

Xiaomi 17 Max brings a large capacity battery

The huge battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh is currently attracting the most attention, which would represent the largest battery ever installed in a Xiaomi phone.

According to the information so far, the device should support:

  • 100 W cable charging
  • 50 W wireless charging
  • PPS fast charging standard

In addition, the Xiaomi 17 Max is said to use a 1.5K LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display. Advanced protection against water and dust is also expected.

Xiaomi is preparing a serious camera flagship

The phone is supposed to use a 200-megapixel main camera based on the Samsung ISOCELL HP sensor.

In addition to the main camera, the following are expected:

  • 50 MP ultra-wide camera
  • 50 MP periscope telephoto camera
  • 3x optical zoom

Xiaomi will reportedly keep the Leica collaboration for photo processing as well.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with LPDDR5X RAM memory and UFS 4.1 memory for data storage should be in charge of performance.

Company representatives describe the Xiaomi 17 Max as a “completely upgraded” version of the standard Xiaomi 17 model, and not just its larger variant, reports Gizmochina.
