A complete computer in a keyboard case, not a Commodore or a Spectrum, but a classic Windows 11 PC

At this year’s CES 2026 consumer electronics fair, HP presented the world’s smallest AI PC, which completely changes the classic idea of a desktop computer.

Instead of a case, HP placed all the necessary hardware directly in the keyboard, allowing users to easily transport the computer and at the same time save maximum space on the desktop.

EliteBoard G1a: a complete computer in a keyboard format

The new HP EliteBoard G1a looks like an ordinary keyboard at first glance, but it hides a complete computer in a case only 12 mm thick. Inside is an AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor, Radeon 800M graphics, as well as customizable DDR5 memory and M.2 NVMe storage. AI performance reaches up to 50 TOPS, which means the device meets the requirements of the Copilot+ PC category and has an EPEAT 2.0 Gold certificate, which confirms compliance with the standards of the new generation of AI computers.

The total weight of the device is only 750 grams, which makes it lighter than most laptops. Since the computer itself is integrated into the keyboard, when connected to the monitor it does not take up additional space on the table, which results in a much neater working environment. EliteBoard G1a has built-in speakers and a microphone, so video and voice calls are possible without additional peripherals.

HP plans to put the EliteBoard G1a on sale in March of this year, while the official price will be announced later.
