Dune: Part Two Confirmed Cast, Release Date

Although it was almost certain, Denis Villeneuve was given the green light to shoot the second part of the movie Dune and will appear in cinemas on October 20, 2023.

Unfortunately, nowadays, the fate of movie and TV projects is not decided by their artistic value, but by how much money a movie makes. Warner and Legendary did not want to immediately order and start shooting the second part of the film until the commercial success of the first Dune, which is an overture to the story, is seen.

Although the Dune was shown simultaneously on HBO Max (which also meant the appearance of illegal streaming) when in United States cinemas, it earned $40 million during the first weekend of screening.

Denis Villeneuve did not hide his admiration that he will be able to realize the movie Dune: Part Two.

“I found out from the Legendary studio that we were going to shoot a sequel to the movie Dune. It was one of my dreams to adapt the work of Frank Herbert. I thank the fans, the actors, and the entire film crew, as well as Legendary and Warner Bros. who supported that dream. This is just the beginning. “

The first Dune tells us only the beginning of the first book that was published in 1965. So far, the film has earned over $250 million at the box office. $165 million was spent on filming the first part.

So far we don’t know the plot of the Dune 2 movie so there is no story to tell, and there is no official Dune 2 trailer as of now.
