Advanced electrification, cockpit technology, autonomy and connectivity displays provide tangible examples of Stellantis’ transition to a sustainable tech mobility company

The Italian icon in its two versions, the Fiat New 500 3 + 1 and New (500) RED, is on display in the Electrification Zone, one of four zones within the Stellantis booth at CES.
CES 2022 from 5 to 8 January is an eminent global technology event and the ideal environment to showcase Stellantis’ current capabilities and insight into the future of advanced electrification, cabin interior technology, autonomy and connectivity.

The Italian brand plays its role within the Group, showcasing its most legendary and technologically advanced model: the flagship of the Fiat brand. The all-electric new Fiat 500 is designed with the next decade in mind and meeting the needs of electric mobility in the city centers of the future.
The Fiat New 500 is a real milestone in the electrification process of the Fiat brand: the most famous and popular Fiat model has become a completely new, completely and exclusively electric model. Around the world, the Model 500 is the epitome of the Italian car: beautiful, classic design, artwork, inspiration. In a word: a legend.
The New 500 was fully developed, designed and manufactured in Turin, Italy, where the Model 500 was born and became the company’s best-selling BEV model. In addition, the new Fiat 500 is a true global legend, available in Europe, Israel and Brazil, while entering the Japanese market is expected in 2022.

Fiat’s new small electric model has broken the “conventional” barriers of the electric sector: autonomy (up to 320 km according to WLTP, increasing to 460 km in the city cycle only), charging time (85 kW fast charging as standard) and complexity of use (” Tech it Easy ”). The new Fiat 500 is the first city car with second-level driving assistance systems, as well as the availability of three different bodies: a hatchback, a convertible and a 3 + 1. Thanks to the new fifth-generation Uconnect infotainment system, the new Fiat 500 is always connected. “Hey Fiat” is an advanced voice recognition system, so you can talk to the car only with the word “Hey Fiat”.
The Fiat New 500 3 + 1 is the most versatile Fiat New 500. It has a unique “magic door” that makes it easier for passengers to get into the vehicle, and everything you might need in the back seats. This “magic door” harmoniously fits into the structure of the car, without changes in its design or dimensions, while retaining the properties of an agile city car. Instead, they exponentially simplify its use, so passengers can easily sit in the back seats and bulky items can be easily loaded. Alternatively, the center pillar – to which the front door is usually hinged – is fully integrated into the third door, creating a huge access space when opened.

The New (500) RED is “Made for the planet, made for the people on it” and has a clear mission to protect the environment and people: it is electric, respects the environment and contributes to a more sustainable future. That mission now goes even further with the model (RED). The new Fiat (500) RED is 100% electric, thus contributing to the fight against pollution; it is also a car with great ethical content thanks to a partnership with the organization (RED), founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver, dedicated to fighting pandemics for more than 15 years.
Together with the Jeep and Ram brands, Fiat has pledged to donate at least $4 million to support the work of the Global Fund to fight pandemics around the world over the next three years. The Fiat New (500) RED is also the ideal ambassador to convey the message to the US, thanks to its presence at CES.
