Rockstar Games is still tight-lipped about new details for Grand Theft Auto VI, but as November approaches, more and more signs are showing that the game’s launch is indeed nearing.
After several months of silence, the first major European retailers began to advertise GTA 6 more aggressively, and now one store went a step further, allowing the first orders for the game.
The Italian store Showgame has set up a complete sales page for GTA 6 with a price of 69.90 euros, excluding shipping costs. It caused huge attention among gamers as many expected that GTA 6 could break the 100 euro mark due to its huge budget and years of development.
GTA 6 price lower than many expected
Before that, a photo from the Scandinavian chain Elgiganten appeared, confirming that pre-orders will soon be available in their stores. However, there is one important detail – Showgame states that only 50 copies are currently available for pre-sale, so it seems that the action is partly a marketing move by which the store is trying to increase interest in the game.
Regardless, the fact that large European retail chains are already preparing sales is seen by many as a very strong signal that Take-Two and Rockstar are still targeting the November release date of the game. It is particularly interesting that all of this is happening right before Take-Two Interactive’s new financial report, which many believe represents the last major point where the game could possibly be delayed.
If no new date shift is mentioned during the financial report, Rockstar is expected to release a new trailer very soon and officially open the global pre-order process.
GTA 6 is already considered one of the most anticipated games of all time, and the first moves by retailers show that the gaming industry clearly believes that the launch is finally approaching, reports ScreenRant.
