Huawei The MateBook 16 (2022) was unveiled in China earlier this week. The laptop is an updated version of Huawei MateBook 16 which was launched in China in May 2021 and now comes with Windows 11. The Huawei MateBook 16 has the same specifications as the model introduced last year, which includes an AMD processor, 16GB of RAM and a 16-inch screen . Unlike its predecessor, this laptop comes with a lower price. Huawei has yet to announce any plans when the new Huawei MateBook 16 model with Windows 11 will arrive in global markets, including Europe.
The price of the Huawei MateBook 16 (2022) in China starts at 5,799 CNY (approximately € 833) for the model with AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor, while the model AMD Ryzen 7 5800H costs 6,299 CNY (approximately 905 €). The laptops are available in Haoyue Silver and Deep Space Gray color options and are listed for purchase on JD.com.
Last year, the company launched the Huawei MateBook 16 laptop in its base version with Windows 10, at a starting price of 6,299 CNY (about € 905) in China.
The new Huawei MateBook 16 runs on Windows 11 and features a 16-inch 2.5K (2,520 x 1,680 pixels) IPS screen with a pixel density of 189ppi and 300 nits of maximum brightness. The laptop has a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent, and the screen offers a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The Huawei MateBook 16 (2022) is powered by AMD Ryzen 7 5800H or AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processors, along with AMD Radeon graphics and 16GB of RAM.
Z MateBook 16 is equipped with a 512 GB SSD. It comes with a 720p HD webcam, two speakers and two microphones. Laptop connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio port. The Huawei MateBook 16 has an 84 Wh battery and features a full-size backlit keyboard, along with a fingerprint sensor on the power button. The laptop measures 351 x 254.9 x 17.8 mm and weighs about 1.99 kg, reports Gadgets 360.
