Instead of The Last of Us Part III, we will see the “mushroom punk” game Signet City

The creator of the Citizen Sleeper series has unveiled his next game, which he describes as a fungalpunk RPG where we’re a parasite in the middle of a city in crisis.

It is often heard that the only innovations in gaming today are in games of independent production. Maybe it’s really true when you hear that a fungalpunk RPG called Signet City.

What is that? mushroom punk topic? Something close to the collapse of the system as shown by the games from The Last of Us series. But while in those games we followed people in the middle of an ecological apocalypse, in Signet City we are a parasite – a fungal infection that is taking over the people of a city that is counting down its last days.

However, this fungal infection is not evil but its own to its hosts it changes destinies at key moments of their existence. This will be our task in the game as we follow the citizens of Signet City from a first-person perspective.

The presentation of the city will be very specific. The game will use black-and-white display and hand-drawn graphics, and the architecture of the city itself will be inspired by the industrial cities of Great Britain from the 80s.

It all sounds like an interesting combination, but we don’t know when we’ll experience it yet. Signet City is confirmed as a PC exclusive for now.
