The Italian luxury car manufacturer Ferrari is preparing to launch its first all-electric model called Luce, and every now and then a few details about it are leaked to the public. So far we have learned that the vehicle is designed as a luxury SUV model with four seats, while the visual identity of the interior is entrusted to the design collective LoveFrom, which was founded by former Apple designers Jony Ive i Marc Newson.
The interior combines modern technology with retro elements, including glass buttons, tactile switches and a physical clock, while the physical controls in the cockpit are inspired by aircraft. The powertrain was developed entirely in-house at Ferrari, using technology from Formula 1. The system consists of four independent electric motors that together produce more than 1,100 horsepower. According to factory data, the car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, while the maximum speed will be around 310 km/h.
NASA is also involved in the development of Luce, whose experts are helping Ferrari understand the limits of human tolerance to G-forces and see how the enormous accelerations that Luce is capable of affect the inner ear and balance center.

Well, when everything about that model is so exclusive and unique, it was not to be expected a very low price – but still, its announcement will probably surprise you. According to media reports and the first data from Bloomberg, the starting price of the electric Ferrari Luca is expected to be approximately – 550,000 euros. So, even though its name means “light”, the price might turn a blind eye to many.
With such positioning on the market, Luce would easily take the title of the most expensive new SUV in the world, significantly surpassing the price of their existing SUV model Purosangue, as well as competitors such as Lamborghini’s Urus SE and Aston Martin DBX S, but also those whose name is associated with expensive luxury – for example, Rolls-Royce’s Cullinan Black Badge model, which costs “only” 435,000 euros.
