Owners of GeForce RTX 50 cards will soon get two new features

Instead of new graphics cards, Nvidia will launch free upgrades for the existing GeForce RTX 50 series this spring.

At the beginning of the year, Nvidia announced some free improvements to the software capabilities of its RTX graphics cards. The improved DLSS 4.5 with a new upscaling model has already launched for existing RTX cards, and at the end of this month they bring two features that are exclusive to owners of the still current series GeForce RTX 50.

From the 31st of this month all RTX 50 series users will get 6x multi frame-gen option as well as Dynamic Frame Generation.

In games that support frame-gen, RTX owners will be able to multiply the framerate up to six timesafter the previous limit was 3x. As far as the DFG is concerned dynamic frame-geneit’s an innovative new approach where frame-gen is used as needed to reach a given framerate. For example, if your default framerate is 100 or 144 fps, frame-gen will pull as much as necessary to achieve that framerate, without any reduction in the base number of frames per second.

In addition to this news, Nvidia also shared information about the support of upcoming games. They confirmed that DLSS 4.5 and pathtracing will support games such as 007 First Light, Control Resonan, Sea of Remnants and Tides of Annihilation. Other Nvidia features will support Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Samson, Directive 8020, Edge of Memories, Industria 2 and other games.
