Amazon has released the first official trailer for “Reacher,” a new action series based on Lee Child’s best-selling novels.
In this new Amazon adaptation, Alan Ritchson (Titans, Smallville, Blue Mountain State) takes on the role of Jack Reacher, a former military police investigator who becomes a wanderer who, in an attempt to clear his name for a murder he did not commit, uncovers a small town conspiracy in Georgia.
The series, written by Emmy-nominated executive producer and nominated television writer Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), also stars Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie), Willa Fitzgerald (The Goldfinch) and Maria Sten (Swamp Thing) with Harvey Guillen (What We Do in the Shadows), Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) and Bruce McGill (My Cousin Vinny)
Reacher Series plot
REACHER follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military officer who has only recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a wanderer, without a phone and the most necessary things as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave in Georgia, he finds a community struggling with its first murder in 20 years. Police arrested him immediately, and eyewitnesses claim they placed Reacher at the crime scene. As he works to prove his innocence, a deep-rooted conspiracy begins to emerge that will require Reacher’s shrewd mind and strong fists to deal with it. One thing is for sure: they chose the wrong guy who will fall.
