Skyrim just became playable on the 11th platform in a row

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition has become available for the Nintendo Switch 2 console so that Bethesda can make a little more money on the old glory.

Let’s repeat the material a little. The legendary RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was initially played on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Then came Skyrim Special Edition version for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. So in the meantime, we got Skyrim for PlayStation VR and SteamVR, and then a version for Nintendo Switch. Then came Skyrim Anniversary Edition for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

You thought it would stop there?

O today, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available and za Nintendo Switch 2. The version for Switch 2 has all the same content as previous editions, and compared to the Switch 1 version, it brings an increased resolution, faster loading and “better performance” – although still running about 30 fps.

I think that in 2025 it should be forbidden by law to launch Skyrim in 30 fps, but hey – everyone has their own fun.

If nothing else, all owners of Skyrim Anniversary Edition for Switch 1 will get an upgrade to the Switch 2 version for free.
