Pixel and Galaxy devices affected, Google has acknowledged the problem and is working on a solution

Users of the Android Auto service have recently been massively reporting problems with connection, and the situation has escalated to the point that Google had to officially confirm that the problem exists.

According to available information, the failure occurs with both wireless and cable connections. In practice, this means that the phone often does not connect to the car at all, or the connection is lost while driving. Some users also report more serious symptoms, such as navigation freezing or the display on the vehicle screen turning off completely.

The Android Auto problem mostly affects Pixel and Galaxy devices

The problems are most pronounced among users with Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S26 phones, but older models such as the Galaxy S25, S24 and S23 are also affected. For Pixel devices, the failure most often appeared after the March software update, which further points to a potential bug in newer versions of the system.

Google has confirmed that it is aware of the situation and has already started distributing a software fix. However, the company did not reveal the exact cause of the problem, nor did it specify how long it will take for the “update” to reach all users.

As the update is released gradually, it is recommended that users manually check the availability of the new version through the Google Play Store. Until a fix arrives, it’s clear that Android Auto is currently going through one of the more serious stability issues in recent memory, reports LTN.
