Now you can finally play the original Warcraft 3 on Battle.net (again).

Blizzard has allowed all owners of the original Warcraft 3 to roll back to version 1.29 – the last one before the infamous Reforged remaster.

Warcraft 3: Reforged we remember as one of the worse remasters. Fans of Blizzard’s RTS were disappointed by its changes, technical instability and the absence of many things from the original game. Worst of all, the changes also affected the original game, which had to be updated for online play. And once the game was updated – there was no going back. And so for almost six years.

Fortunately, Blizzard has recently allowed owners of the original Warcraft 3 on Battle.net to go back to the last pre-Reforged version, called Warcraft III Legacy TFT 1.29.

Unfortunately, in that version no online playthat is only offline and LAN modes are supported, but even that is better than anything else. After all, a LAN environment can easily be “mimicked” via the Internet, as long as you have an interested player on the other side.
