Dacia is not yet ready to let traditional station wagons fall into oblivion, although it adds a healthy dose of adventurous attitude to the formula. Officially unveiled as part of the Renault Group’s “futuREAdy” strategic plan, the all-new Striker arrives as an elevated, family wagon in the compact segment, staying true to the manufacturer’s character focused on affordable prices.
Robust design and spaciousness
The exterior design is characterized by angular LED front and rear lights reminiscent of Cadillac style. Increased ground clearance, large-diameter alloy wheels and plastic cladding made from recycled materials contribute to a more robust appearance. Other highlights include diagonal openings in the front doors and expressively sculpted surfaces on the bonnet, bumpers and side profile. With a length of 4.62 meters, the Striker is the largest model in Dacia’s range, 50 millimeters longer than even the upcoming Bigster.
Although the company has yet to release photos of the interior, it looks like the Striker will stick to a five-seat layout, leaving the seven-seat option for the smaller Jogger. The dashboard is likely to be carried over from the Duster and Bigster, including the 10.1-inch display infotainment system and the practical YouClip system for placing plugins. Dacia says the Striker is focused on “real customer needs and everyday usability,” which suggests a spacious cabin finished with affordable yet durable materials, along with a generous trunk. Its family character makes it an ideal candidate for additional equipment intended for camping.
Multi-energy drives and competitive price
The Striker is set on the same CMF-B platform as the Bigster and the rest of Dacia’s range, and the company has confirmed that hybrid and LPG powertrains will be available. A Hybrid 4×4 version is also in preparation, which follows the approach seen in the sister SUV models. The most powerful version with all-wheel drive, taken from the Duster, should combine a 1.2-liter mild hybrid turbo gasoline engine with an additional electric motor on the rear axle, supported by a 48-volt battery and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Total power is 152 hp (113 kW).
Despite its size, the starting price of Dacia’s new crossover wagon is expected to be under 25,000 euros, making it significantly more affordable than most compact SUVs in Europe. The official presentation is scheduled for June 2026. Production is set to take place at Renault’s plant in Turkey, as the Mioveni plant remains focused on producing the Duster and Bigster.
