James Bond no longer asks PC gamers for 32GB of memory because he knows times are tough


IO Interactive has updated the hardware requirements for its upcoming game 007 First Light, and it is now stated that the game no longer requires 32 GB of RAM to play comfortably in 1080p resolution.

The new James Bond game 007 First Light recently received a PC request that raised quite a few eyebrows. It was stated that the minimum requirement would be an Intel Core i5-9500K processor, which does not actually exist. It was also stated that the game would require 8GB and 12GB of video memory, but then graphics cards with less memory were listed.

It is not known why it took the IO Interactive team a week to fix these bugs and illogicalities, but here they are – now they are. We’ve received updated hardware requirements for 007 First Light, and the developers say that subsequent testing has shown how to run the game at 1080p however, 32 GB of RAM will not be required, as stated at the beginning. Now twice as much will be enough, 16 GB.

Unfortunately, IO Interactive didn’t take this opportunity to list us more detailed requirements than these – after all, a good number of players no longer play at 1080p resolution. Anyway, here are the final wishes of the new James Bond:

Minimum shuffled configuration for 1080p, 30 fps:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 9500 ili AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • Graphic: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 ili AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Disk: 80 GB free

Recommended shaky configuration for 108op, 60 fps:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-13500 ili AMD Ryzen 5 7600
  • Graphic: Nvidia Geforce RTX
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Disk: 80 GB free
