Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will have a better screen – but which one?!

The new premium phone with a flexible screen from Samsung, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultrawill be officially launched on July 22 at a big event in London.

This model arrives on the market as a direct successor to the previous model Galaxy Z Fold7 device, and will share the premiere with the models Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8as well as a new generation of smart watches Galaxy Watch9 i Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

Display improvement and comparison with predecessor

A famous insider Ice Universe has published data suggesting that the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will bring a noticeable jump in screen resolution compared to the Z Fold7 model. Although the exact specifications and number of pixels are not specified in the new report, it is noted that the display quality has been significantly improved.

For now, it is not specified whether this improvement applies to the main internal screen, the external screen or to both panels at the same time.

For comparison, last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with an internal bendable screen with a resolution of 1,968 x 2,184 pixels, while the auxiliary external screen works at a resolution of 1,080 x 2,520 pixels.

Hardware specs, battery and available colors

In addition to the higher resolution, earlier information reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will have a significantly less noticeable fold at the fold of the screen. It is one of the most important aesthetic and mechanical changes. Inside the case will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh will take care of longer operation.

The device will be available in three internal memory configurations:

  • 256 i 512 GB of storage space or
  • 1 TB storage space.

When it comes to design, the phone will be sold in four colors: cream, graphite, dark green and purple.
