Volkswagen officially presented the ID in Wolfsburg. Polo, a fully electric version of one of its most successful models in history. Under 25,000 euros, for now only in the announcement
With a starting price of less than 25,000 (more precisely, 24,995) euros on the German market, this 4,053 mm long compact car offers significantly better space utilization compared to conventional models, as confirmed by the trunk increased to 441 liters.

Vehicle design, for which the head of design is responsible Andreas Mindtfollows a new “Pure Positive” design language that emphasizes clean proportions and prominent details such as the C-pillar inspired by the first Golf. The interior is focused on digitalization, with a 10-inch digital cockpit and central infotainment system with a diagonal screen of 13″. A special addition is the “retro display” of the instruments in front of the driver, which evokes the look of the facelift Golf “unit”, which combines modern technology with nostalgia. Also, physical keys for the main functions are visible in the cabin, which is the fulfillment of the promise of abandoning exclusively digital controls.
Power and autonomy
ID. The Polo will come with three engine power levels: 85 kW (116 hp), 99 kW (135 hp) and the most powerful version of 155 kW (211 hp). Models with less power are equipped with a 37 kWh LFP battery that allows a range of up to 329 km, while the most powerful variant uses a 52 kWh NMC battery for a range of up to 454 km according to WLTP. All versions support DC fast charging as standard, whereby the battery can be recharged from 10 to 80% capacity in approximately 23 to 24 minutes.

Technological progress is also visible in the introduction of the “Vehicle-to-Load” (V2L) system, which allows the car to serve as a source of energy for external devices such as electric bicycles, which can be charged with a power of up to 3.6 kW. Safety and comfort are ensured by Connected Travel Assist, which recognizes traffic lights for the first time in this class, while the standard “one-pedal” driving function enables the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle to be controlled solely by the gas pedal.
Equipment and (in)availability
