The time has come to ask our expert audience for their views on x86 processor manufacturers. Which company generally offers better processors for gamers?
In one of the previous HCL duels, we asked you which camp you lean towards when choosing graphics cards. Now we have a similar question only for another category of computer components – processors.
Unlike the graphics card market, the battle between processor manufacturers is uncertain. According to hardware statistics from Steam, Intel processors are used by 56.4% of PC gamers, while AMD products are preferred by 43.6% of users. Power ratios change from generation to generation, but we are roughly interested in which processors you prefer.
Knowing that different processors are good for different purposes on different platforms, we’ll narrow down your context to gaming. When shopping for a gaming processor, are you in the Intel or AMD camp?
Although there is no third option, be sure to elaborate on your choice in the comments. And tell others why they’re wrong, if you feel you have to.
